General The Control Bar allows easy access to many of the common tasks associated with building a RelMo survey. The bar docks to the left edge of the main RelMo window, or can be floated into any position on
screen.
Four main panes are available, each showing a hierarchical view of the items used by RelMo:
- Object Manager
- Templates
- Resources
- Views
In the template and resources panes, a helpful preview window displays a picture or representation of the item currently selected.

Object Manager The Object Manager view controls the relationship between the various objects which make up a RelMo Survey.
Everything in RelMo is either an object or is contained within an object. For example, points, lines and triangles are all contained within an object.
Each object can itself contain objects creating a grandparent - parent - child relationship. Animation is applied on a per-object basis which is also applied to child objects, which themselves
could have animation. Complex motion is possible using this structure.
Template Surveys
Supplied with RelMo are a number of template objects or surveys which you can use in your surveys. These are easily accessible using the Templates view. Simply drag the template survey
onto the main screen (in 2D or 3D) and you can then paste it directly into the scene.
The preview you see on the right is generated using RelMo and is the default view you obtain when embedding RelMo objects within OLE containers. |

Views
From Version 5, RelMo supports multiple views,
multiple cameras and multiple printed pages.
From the Views tab, you can manage these items
using the familiar interface used in all the other control bar panels.
You can add new pages simply and use cut and
paste to populate your new page with suitable items.
On the page itself you simply drag objects around
the page to create exactly the view you require. |

Resources
Each RelMo survey is designed to be a self-contained file with all of the codes and symbols necessary for the survey contained within the survey itself.
The Resources view enables you to manage the point, line and texture resources embedded in a survey using a simple and graphical interface. For example if a code or symbol is designed and used in one
survey, you can simply drag it from that survey into the current survey and it will be immediately available.
This interface also facilitates the editing of complex point and line styles.
RelMo makes extensive use of context sensitive menus throughout. The Control Bar menus are no exception and are tailored specifically for the pane in use and also the type of item under the cursor.
Using this facility enables you to select and begin to draw a complex line with just two mouse clicks. Coupled with other ease of use features the time needed to edit a survey is reduced dramatically.
