RelMo v8.2 Release (July 2010)

This release is designed to replace the RelMo January 2010 version 8 and May 2010 version 8.1 releases and fixes a problem with editing symbols.  In v8 and v8.1 the way in which undo/redo work behind the scenes caused RelMo to hang.   This problem has now been rectified.  Another issue with version 8 files has also been resolved which will result in greater stability when opening older surveys.  The sky background in the 3D Demo mode in RelMo3 has also been restored.

Please note that if you wish to run RelMo with Windows 7 you MUST upgrade the dongle drivers to version 7.22 or later.   For stand-alone or client computers you can also download and install the separate program dk2wn32.exe to update the dongle drivers.

For server computers you can download and run the self executable zip file desnetinstallation722.exe Follow the prompts and your dongle drivers will be updated. 

To download the updated program files, select the link below and run the program.  The RelMo v8.2 Update program will search for your existing version of RelMo and update the executable files and the help file.

RelMo v8.1 Release (May 2010)

This release is designed to replace the RelMo January 2010 version 8 release and fixes a problem with Undo/Redo.  In the original V8 release selecting Redo after an Undo could cause a crash in certain circumstances.  A problem has also been identified where reloading an existing file can cause corruption in the newly loaded file.   This version fixes this problem by saving an index to the current default object in a slightly different way.  All users are encouraged to download and install this new version.

RelMo 2008 SP1a (June 2008)

This release fixes a problem with some of the later models of electronic total station and some third party programs which export data directly in the load file format.  Some of these systems output point observation data which contains angular measurements to an apparent accuracy including tenths of seconds.  It is possible using this data that RelMo may calculate the position of some observations incorrectly.  

Data which is converted by the RelMo conversion program (RMConvert) is not affected by this problem.

Hardware Key Problems (Posted 22.02.08)

We have realised over the last couple of months that there is a compatibility problem with the latest version of the DesKey hardware key drivers. The latest version at the time of writing is 7.14. Some users have upgraded to this version and some have not.

Basically it stems down to an incompatibility between older versions of the DesKey drivers and their latest version. Problem range from version 7 clients refusing to communicate properly with version 6 servers, to various components of RelMo and other AiTS software items not working properly. In particular the later versions of Licence Manager (v7.x) refuse to start on some machines with a variety of errors displayed.

The solution to the problem is to make sure that you update all computers that are running any AiTS software to the latest version of the dongle drivers. This can be downloaded direct from the DESKey site, or from the links below,

For stand-alone or client computers download and install the program dk2wn32.exe

For server computers download and run the self executable zip file desnetinstallation714.exe This extracts a series of files into a folder (Usually your TEMP folder).   From that folder run the setup.exe program. 

Please note: These programs are not the same as those supplied on the November 2007 RelMo 2008 CD. That CD contained the version 6.21 drivers.

The help file has not yet been updated to reflect these changes but will be updated shortly. 

A new user manual for SP1 is also available and may be downloaded directly from here (5.8 Mb).  This normally resides in C:\Program Files\AiTS\Documents and a link is created by the install program to point to this location.
